Information on personal data processing

This information is given pursuant to Article 13 of Italian Legislative Decree No. 196/2003 (the Italian Personal Data Protection Code) by La Giovane S.C.p.A. in its capacity as the Data Controller, to describe the management and processing of the personal data of the users interacting with its website, both by sending specific requests and information and by simply consulting its contents.

This information to data subject is intended to cover only the website and shall not concern any other websites users may visit through links on the La Giovane website.

Type and sources of data and purposes of their processing

Any personal data that are voluntarily supplied – by sending e-mail to the addresses set forth on the website or by completing the specific forms in the “work with us” and “contacts” section – are collected and used only in order to handle and respond to the requests made by the sender.

Other data of the user which cannot be associated to the user’s identity (the transmission of which is entailed in the use of communication protocols on the Internet) are collected by the apps dedicated to the website operation, within their normal operation. The collected data may include, by way of example, IP address, domain names and the browser used to log in to the website, the time of the request, the size of the file received in reply, the numeric code setting forth the status of the response given by the server (success, error, etc.) and other parameters regarding the operating system and the IT environment used. These data are collected only in order to ensure proper operation of the website and, in any case, do not cause any personal data of the user to become known. Therefore, they are to be considered anonymous data. Browsing data may be used to assess liability in case of computer crimes against the website. See “Information about Cookies”.

Methods of data processing

The personal data relating to the services on the website are processed at the Data Controller’s premises by staff directly instructed by La Giovane S.C.p.A. for this purpose. Data may be processed in electronic or paper format, in compliance with the legislation in force on personal data protection and using procedures and tools that are fit to ensure their safety, security and confidentiality. Data are processed for the time needed to handle the request made by the user or for other purposes as described herein. In any case, the user shall have the right to exercise its rights as the data subject at any time (pursuant to Section 7 of Italian Legislative Decree No.196/2003) requesting the Data Processing to be discontinued or the Data to be erased.

Data communication and dissemination

The personal data supplied by the website users shall not be communicated to third parties, unless their communication is required by law or is strictly necessary to respond to the requests made by the users.

The manager of the hosting service of the website may have access to data, for technical reasons only, while carrying out any maintenance required for the website proper operation and security.

Consent to processing

Users provide their consent to the processing of their personal data by voluntarily supplying such data, i.e. by sending optional e-mails to the addresses given and by completing the forms. Any non-provision or partial provision of data may cause the impossibility to receive any requested information or services.

Simply visiting the website shall not entail any personal data processing, but rather the collection of anonymous data on browsing. However, users may deny consent to the use of cookies (see “Information about cookies” – How to disable cookies).

Data Subjectsrights

The subjects to whom personal data refer to shall have the right, at any time, by informing La Giovane S.C.p.A., the Data Controller, to obtain confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning them exist, to be informed of the content and source of their personal data, to verify their correctness or to obtain their updating, rectification, erasure, anonymization or blocking of data that have been processed unlawfully, as well as to object, on legitimate grounds, to the processing of personal data concerning him/her.
